I got a call from John during lunch on Thursday that Sissy had gotten caught up in the blanket while she was on the couch and fell face first into the coffee table when she tried to get down. I left school immediately and came home to cuddle my precious girl. After calling the doctor's office, they said she needed to be taken to the ER. Since she had hit her face, they considered it head trauma and she got seen fairly quickly.
Audrey was a great little patient. Since she tracked well, her sinuses were fine and she was acting quite normal, the doctor didn't want to subject her to unnecessary radiation from a CT scan. The doctor said he had seen fighters that didn't have shiners as big as hers. :) The part of her cheek that had actually hit the table stayed white until picture day, of course. We did choose to go ahead with Easter pictures on Saturday. When I told the photographer, Leah, that we didn't want the picture edited because this was our 'real' life she made the comment that 'life isn't always picture perfect' and we felt that was perfectly fitting.
The picture in the middle is Audrey lying on the hospital bed waiting for the doctor to check her out. Don't you like how it looks like she pulled her hair and bow back for dramatic effect. :) We were so thankful that she was okay. It's so hard to feel helpless when you're babies are hurting.
Mommy thinks that Audrey is getting way too many expensive bracelets lately.
I love the pics....we have many of Blake with shiners. She is so cute anyway!
