We had a very busy Easter weekend. Today, Cole, Audrey and I started off the day by going to church. Audrey decided she'd much rather run around, so we ended up leaving about 15 minutes early. John took half of a vacation day so he could spend the afternoon with us. So, after church, we went to my mother-in-law's house to eat lunch and color and hide eggs. We had a wonderful lunch and Cole and Audrey filled up on bunny cake and ice cream.
The kids had so much fun coloring eggs this year. The farm fresh brown eggs took the colors so vibrantly. When it came time to hide the eggs, I first took Audrey in to hide one at a time. All was well the first two times she found the eggs until she overheard me say something to Cole about throwing one at him. She took the one she just found and tried to throw it at me, but hit my mother-in-law's wall. The egg fell to the ground and shattered and let's just say the smell was not quite so pleasant.
Even throughout all our Easter festivities this weekend, I am so thankful to be a Christian who is saved by God's grace. I cannot begin to imagine sacrificing my child for others lives. I am so thankful that He did and that his son was willing to die to save those of us who believe in Him. Although I have so many things on Earth I would like to accomplish and see, I am gracious that there is a place for me in Heaven. I will pray that anyone who reads this will also have a special place, too. God bless everyone!
Isn't that what is so amazing. It would have been easy for God to either comdemn us or to just make himself known.
