Can I still win a Mother of the Year award if…

our swimming pool is green and my flowers are dead?
I finally got up the nerve to pull up my pant legs and let the water out of our nasty green pool today. I will NEVER make it in the pool industry. I am horrible with the chemicals, I rarely vacuum, I never cover it and I overuse our skimmer. With that being said, all the water in our yard made for some interesting playing tonight for the kiddos.
Although the kids were muddy and dirty from head to toe, they had a great time splashing in the water and sticking their toes in the mud. Don’t worry, they both immediately showered after playing outside. :)

she splashed the daylights out of him.

The perfect mix of pink and blue.

In my defense, if these plants weren’t dead, our new kitten would have nothing to play with. I didn’t neglect the plant, I spoiled the kitten. Hee, hee!

We were amazed that Tinkerbell climbed about 20 feet into one of our walnut trees.  She is so stinkin’ cute!

Don’t let her puppy dog eyes fool  you. She jumped on me with muddy paws and gave my old lady legs a bruise.

At least some things are perfect.
