Hidden Waters Nature Park

(Maybe I should rename this post to “If you are on dial-up, you’ll want to hurt me” because this post is mega picture intense. You’ve been warned!)

The beginning of the school year is quickly approaching, so we’ve been trying to squeeze every last day of summer fun in that is humanly possible. I don’t feel like we put it off this year, but somehow, there is more left to do than there is summer vacation left to do it in. So, we have planned and planned and as a result, we’ve been able to spend lots of time with friends and family in the last few days before Cole and I have to go back.

On Thursday, my friend Christy, had asked a few friends and our kiddos to play at a park that we had never been to. Let’s just say that the Hidden Waters Nature Park is someone’s best kept secret. It was absolutely beautiful! There were very few man-made things to distract from the natural beauty of the park. It is almost completely surrounded by homes, but somehow, it seemed very secluded. It was full of tall old trees, small ponds and it had a creek running right through the middle of it. The water was very cold, but truly refreshing in the summer heat.

Kristi, Kason and Kory rode with Audrey, Cole and me. We met Christy and her children, Lyssa and Eric. Soon after, Kim and her children, Brady and Breanna met up with us. It was so great to get to see everyone. All four mamas are teachers, so we are all in the same crunch to fill the remaining days with fun before we go back. Kristi and I are lucky though because we go back the latest. :)

It was so nice to catch up with friends while the kids were having such a great time.
