Just your average all over the place post

I didn't get around to posting anything about Christmas, New Year's and Audrey's birthday celebration, but we had a great time during our holiday vacation. It was really hard to get up and get back to school. My students were exhausted on Monday, just like their teacher. Nap time was fabulous! I told my Kindergarteners that I LOVE it when I hear them snore.

This week has been crazy long! I hope the weekend doesn't fly by though. I came home from school early today because I had a horrible migraine that made me sick. Thankfully Audrey was asleep when I got home and I had the opportunity to take an hour long nap. John was good enough to take us to eat and get a few RedBox movies, too! Gotta love a thoughtful hubby!

My best friend from high school, Mimi, sent me an e-mail today and it had some sad news for the start of the new year for her family. I would love it if you could pray for the health of her husband and the emotional roller coaster that I'm sure her family is on right now. I don't want to go into details until I have talked with her personally, but please lift them up if you desire.

I am the proud mother of a Principal's Honor Roll student. :) (Insert proud momma smiley here.) Who would have known that this little cutie would grow up to be so smart? John sent me this picture tonight. He took this picture by our cabin when Cole was probably 3 or 4.


Speaking of being proud, take a peek at this cute little sofa table I scored on Craigslist tonight. Isn't it cute? I can't wait to pick it up tomorrow.


I was able to go 4 days at school this week without a single Dr. Pepper. That's pretty HUGE for me. However, I caved today thinking that maybe my headache was due to caffeine withdrawal. Sadly, it wasn't and I did it for nothing. Ugh! The funny thing was the Coke machine has never been lit up since I have worked for the school. Today, our custodian made it light up and it was like a beacon of light calling me to it. Pretty sad that I get excited by shiny objects, huh?
