Last weekend we had the opportunity to go to a snow festival with friends and we had a crazy time. We started by meeting at Target for some great deals and then went to Toys 'R Us for our free Thomas trains. While at Toys 'R Us, there was a nasty pop-up thunderstorm and the skies were absolutely black. We were a little scared that we were going to be under a tornado warning, so we stayed in TRU until the rain subsided. Needless to say, we were all exhausted and doubting that SnowFest was still a possibility. We headed over to Chick Fil A to eat and play in the tubes. The kids had a great time and it wore them out a little. We decided that we were all too tired for SnowFest and headed to Walgreen's for our free Oral-B power toothbrushes. Mrs. M and her kiddos went to Kohl's for some great sales. While Alicia was in Walgreen's, I talked to Mrs. M and she decided that she had a second wind and so did we. So, we headed towards SnowFest to see if it was even still taking place.
When we got there, the kids first started playing in the pile of snow/mud mix that was scraped from the ice skating rink. They got soooo dirty! Then, we headed over to the fountains for them to splash and play (our sneaky way of cleaning them up). The kiddos wanted to jump in the bounce houses, so they did that for a good hour before heading back over to the fountains to clean up. Before we left, Cole had to have a funnel cake and Audrey ate her first cotton candy.
At the end of the night, the mom's were exhausted and the kids were exhausted. All in all, it was a great time!
