I've come to realize that blogging has a way of connecting you to people you will possibly never know or meet. I know that seems like such a simple thought, but truly, I sometimes feel like I'm invested in the well-being of others' lives and the daily hardships they struggle through and I feel like I know them personally. One blog that I was drawn to, (because of the name) Audrey Caroline, has truly touched my heart and today has given me such a clear perspective of the value of life. My heart truly aches for the family of baby Audrey Caroline Smith. She was born this afternoon and went to Heaven a few short hours later. I'm sure that her family loved and cherished every living moment with her. Please say a prayer for this family that they will find comfort in knowing that their precious daughter is in Heaven.
Kiss your kids. Hold them even when they are too big. Cherish the tiny handprints on the window. Catch the blown kisses and hold them in your heart, not just in your hand. Remember the spontaneous 'I love you's' that you get when you're least expecting it. No matter how long or short our lives may be, never take for granted the time you have with your children. If your kids are happy and healthy, thank God for you and I are truly blessed.
