I *heart* Valentine's parties!
Yesterday was lots of fun at school! I love the color red, chocolates and parties, so you can't really go wrong.
Cole decided he wanted a Lost Dharma Initiative box to hold his valentines, so John helped him create the perfect holder. It was very cute! Cole gave his teacher a vase full of candy and some scalloped tags. At his party he got to play Bingo and Break Your Heart. His favorite part of the party was a little sticky man someone gave him that you can throw at the ceiling and wall and it attaches itself. His valentines were Indiana Jones this year. He really wanted Star Wars, but we couldn't find them. I think he had a great time! He was asleep at 6:30 last night.
At my class party yesterday, the room mother planned lots of fun activities for the students to do. They got to rotate so everyone was participating all the time. The kids had a wonderful time and there were lots of very helpful parents at the party! My students gave me some wonderful gifts, too. I got candles, lots of yummy candy, Dr. Pepper and a few other things. Audrey held one of the candy boxes to her chest and hugged it. It was so sweet! She is definitely her momma's girl!
We are staying home today since Audrey isn't quite over her sickness. I'm looking forward to cleaning the house and spending some time with Cole and Audrey making a menu for my parents lunch visit tomorrow. Cole is going to be cooking the main course and helping with salad and dessert. Tonight, I'm hoping to make a yummy dinner for John. He has to work today, so it will be a long day for him. Before he went to work this morning, he left each of us a heart-shaped Post-it on the bathroom mirror. How sweet! Luckily, we all have off on Monday and can enjoy some quality family time together.

I love to read your positive take on everything. On my blog, the same party isn't painted as nicely.
ReplyDeleteYou are such a wonderful teacher and person. Hopefully one day I can be as positive as you. Maybe.
