I spent 3 nights totally neglecting the laundry and pretty much any housework around here. Thank goodness Audrey went to bed early 2 nights and took a great nap yesterday. (However, I paid for it during the night!) I actually finished an entire adult book for once. Thanks to the self-realization of reflecting back on 2008, I had no idea I hadn't read a single book for me, only children's books. It's nice to have a great friend that also runs/owns our local library. She recommended The Edge of Light by Ann Shorey and I couldn't put it down. It was sad, sweet, funny, heart-breaking and wonderful all at the same time. It's a lot like the lifestyle of the Ingalls from my favorite set of books/series, The Little House on the Prairie. The bad part is, this historical fiction novel just came out this year. It's going to be hard to wait for the next one in 2010. I think I have it in me though.
