Today was a great day! Some rain and some sunshine. Audrey and I spent lots of time outside yesterday playing and working in the yard. I got almost all of the outside play toys washed and lots of things picked up in the yard. For the first time since I was in junior high, I used a riding lawn mower. I was horrible at getting it to turn. When John got home, he offered to do a few strips for me, but he ended up doing the whole thing. Hmmm, what do you think this says about my mowing skills?

I got a call from my brother yesterday and he and his wife are expecting baby #2 in November. How exciting! I bet my niece is loving the fact that she is going to be a big sister. Please pray for my sister-in-law to have a happy, healthy pregnancy.

Tonight, I got to eat lunch with several Kindergarten teachers that I use to teach with before I quit to stay home with my kiddos. It was so great to see each one of them and catch up. (I really enjoyed holding baby J, too. I thought she needed to come home with me, but her momma didn't think so.) It's so great to pick up with friends and feel like you haven't skipped a beat. Although I don't see them nearly as much as I'd like, I will always hold a special place in my heart for each of them.

Audrey and Cole were a barrel of laughs tonight. Audrey has a crazy new dance routine and Cole thought it would be funny to tie us up with his scarf from the dress-up basket. Some things you just can't capture in a picture and no one else would think they are nearly as funny on video. In our house, love is probably blind, deaf and completely unaware of the concept of sanity.
