Signs that you live with a tiny girl and a growing boy!

There are some things that you just have to experience for yourself, like having a boy AND a girl. Although in many ways they may be so very different, in most ways they are much the same. The photos below depict just a few of the tiny trails of treasures that my little blessings left behind before bed tonight. Luckily, we had it picked up this morning for our Parents as Teachers visit. Otherwise, we might have been reported to animal control for living in a pig sty. Hee, hee! ;)
Signs you live with a toddler girl:
Now why would I bother putting all these colorful headbands in a nice organized drawer where they can't be seen. Don't they look much better scattered all over the floor like a rainbow? Thanks for the enlightenment, Sis!

Winnie the Pooh's treehouse doesn't have nearly as much to offer as the seat of the recliner.
Sleeping Beauty on a bearskin rug with little lamb in the background.
A tiny teacup full of buttons awaiting a big spill.

Signs that you live with a growing boy:

Anything that transforms is a must have. They look so tidy all lined up in the middle of the floor. Mind you this is where I blindly walk through the dark at all hours of the night to feed a hungry or waking baby girl.

As soon as he gets home from school, Cole's idea of putting things up is throwing his backpack and jacket on his bed, along with any of the contents. Of course doing this will make me think he actually put his things away and therefore I'll let him go play faster, right.

My fancy new perfectly pink strawberry luxury wafers can becomes a science experiment involving water and paper towels.

Someone has been watching too much Supernanny. This bunny has been placed in the naughty corner. Not sure which one is guilty of this crime. I'm betting Audrey because I think it freaks her out being almost as big as she is. :)

So, no matter how much I'd love to have a clean house, 9 times out of 10 if you walked through our doors without any advanced notice, you too would witness this wonderful trail of treasures. And I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world, at least most days! ;)

  2. Thanks, Robyn! I know I'm partial, but I kind of thought it was cute, too. :)
